IG88 is the alias of Seattle Washington born Branden Clarke. At the age of 10 he was handed down an old beat up classical guitar from his father. Leading him down a road of adolescent experiences, inspiring musical expression and eventually more instruments.

He later found himself infatuated with all kinds of recording in 2003 when a local alternative High School had small Pro Tools based studios and workstations. He continued education in MIDI and audio production. Soon purchasing an MPC and realizing his creative flow programming with pads and obscure samples drenched in effects.

Inspired by Science Fiction, northwest wilderness, specific succubus women and caffeine, IG88 documents his life journey. Combining electronically manipulated field recordings, organic instruments and meticulously programmed synthesizers.
IG88 creates beats over synthetic babies breath and a type of glitchy atmospheric trip hop laced with distant vocals. Illustrating audio soundscapes of depressed droids twisting knobs and poking pads to construct generic stuffed animal vending machines.
